Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Effat University and Saudi Skills Institute to Enhance Academic and Training Cooperation
Effat University and the Saudi Skills Institute for Higher Training have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen joint cooperation in academic and professional training fields. The signing took place in Jeddah, in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
The MoU aims to support the development of national talents through joint initiatives, including:
- Offering a pathway for diploma holders in Interior and Graphic Design from the Saudi Skills Institute to bridge into bachelor’s programs at Effat University.
- Providing internship and job placement opportunities for graduates.
- Organizing workshops and training courses in mutually agreed-upon disciplines.
- Promoting scientific research and participation in academic events.
- Holding competitions and field visits to exchange expertise.
The agreement is valid for one year and is automatically renewable. Either party may terminate the agreement with prior notice. The MoU also includes clauses to safeguard confidentiality, intellectual property rights, and outlines amicable or arbitration-based dispute resolution mechanisms.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both institutions. Dr. Haifa Jamal Al-Lail, President of Effat University, emphasized the significance of this collaboration in enriching the educational environment. Representing the institute, Ms. Samaher Batterjee praised the partnership’s role in empowering trainees and enhancing their skills to meet the demands of the labor market.
This agreement is part of ongoing efforts by both parties to foster integration between educational and training institutions, in support of national development goals and the cultivation of future-ready competencies.
